The converter multiplies an amount in US dollars by the KM rate for 1 USD and divides by the same rate for BAM to USD. The daily indicative rate comes from ExchangeRate-API, not the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is shown with its publication time. A rate older than 72 hours is not used as current, so enter your bank rate instead. It helps with payments from the US, online shopping and travel.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the dollar rate in the calculator come from?
The daily indicative rate comes from ExchangeRate-API and is shown with its publication time. It is not the Central Bank rate or a bank buying or selling rate. If the rate is older than 72 hours, the calculator does not use it as current and asks you to enter your own rate.
How do I convert KM to dollars?
Choose the BAM to USD direction and enter the amount, and the calculator divides it by the rate. For example, with an entered rate of 1.70 KM per 1 USD, 170 KM is 100 USD. Enter an exchange fee as a percentage if your bank charges one.
METHOD
Formula and method
Amount × rate × (1 − fee / 100). The reverse direction uses 1 / rate.
