The calculator adds the ratio parts and divides the total by that sum. The first share is total × A / (A + B) and the second is total × B / (A + B). For 100 KM in a 2 to 3 ratio that is 40 KM and 60 KM. It also shows the ratio A/B as a decimal, which helps with recipes, mixtures and splitting costs.
