The calculator adds your allowance to the floor area, divides it by the coverage of one pack and rounds up, because packs are sold whole. It also shows the total cost, the area you actually buy and the surplus beyond the floor. The coverage per pack is printed on the laminate or parquet box, and a larger allowance suits diagonal laying or rooms with many corners.
