How much concrete does a slab need?

Volume is length times width times thickness, increased by the percentage allowance you enter. You can enter dimensions in metres or feet and get the result in cubic metres and cubic yards, with the cost from a price per cubic metre. A 5 × 4 m slab 10 cm thick with a 10% allowance needs 2.2 m³, which at 150 KM per cubic metre costs 330 KM. The estimate is geometric and does not check load capacity or reinforcement.

METHOD

Formula and method

Volume = length × width × thickness × (1+allowance/100).
