METHOD
Formula and method
L/100 km = litres / kilometres × 100. US and imperial gallons are distinct units.
Measure consumption from distance travelled and fuel used.

Full disclaimerThe calculator divides the litres you filled by the kilometres driven and multiplies by 100 to give litres per 100 km. For example, 21 litres over 300 km is 7 L/100 km, or about 33.6 miles per US gallon. You can enter distance in kilometres or miles and fuel in litres, US gallons or imperial gallons, which are different units. For the most accurate figure, fill the tank to the top, drive, then fill to the top again and enter that amount.
